Hi everyone.

Just a reminder that the inaugural board meeting is this Wednesday at 8PM at 1537 S Wooster Street #108, Los Angeles CA 90035, (building is behind the fire station which is at Robertson and Pickford).

We'll have light refreshments, and this will be my last time as chair. We will have an agenda, just to avoid chaos, but there will be time for mutual introductions. I will present an outline of what the national organization expects of each officer, that's president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary, and will try to briefly explain how the 2007 board interpreted that.

The only other business will be to set the date and time and place for the next meeting, which will be the first regular board meeting and should be later in January. All of you will be invited to introduce yourself and then present your ideas for how you will most likely be serving. We should keep it brief, and with 8 people, I think two to four minutes would be ideal, but we are all allowed to nominate ourselves for certain chairs, such as treasurer or president for example, or may simply offer to be a general board member, if that is what you would prefer.

Sorry to repeat myself, but we are obligated to elect president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary at this meeting and report the new officers to central on Thursday. That should be my last duty as 2007 president. In the case of president and treasurer, myself and Karen Ho are ready to fully brief our successors on everything they may need to know to take it forward in their new direction.
